Greetings P.A.C.E Academy Family,
My name is Luvenia Perkins, and it is a privilege and an honor to be joining the P.A.C.E. Academy team and serving as your new school principal. I look forward to getting to know and partnering with our families, students, and teachers as we build upon a fabulous legacy and look toward the future.
I was born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan and I am the mother of a very energetic 11-year-old son. Being the oldest of eight children, I know firsthand how important it is for the school community to work in partnership with parents for both the academic and character growth of our children. I am a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Elementary Education and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Wayne State University. I was blessed to serve as a teacher for 9 years in grades 3rd-6th. Early on I knew school leadership would be my ultimate path and with hard work, I transitioned to various leadership positions over the past 10 years ranging from, lead teacher, service-learning coordinator, assistant principal, and principal. My experiences in education have prepared me in launching program initiatives, staff development, promoting a safe school environment, and optimizing learning. I will also maintain a positive school culture as well as, academic excellence, and high expectations for leadership, staff, parents, and students.
I am excited and well prepared to share my knowledge and join the exceptional team at P.A.C.E. Academy. Please know my door is always open and my team and I am are here to answer any questions you may have.
Ms. Luvenia M. Perkins, M.Ed.
