Enrollment Process

 

Open Enrollment for the 2025-26 school year begins on March 3rd. We are only accepting online applications. Please feel free to email questions and documents to [email protected]

 
We are delighted that you have chosen Dr. Joseph F. Pollack Academic Center of Excellence to meet your student’s academic needs. Below is helpful information that will assist you through our enrollment process. We look forward to educating your child.
 

Dr. Joseph F. Pollack Academic Center of Excellence (PACE) is a tuition-free public school serving students in grades K-8.  Parents, students, and teachers will be expected to attend quarterly conferences in which they promise to work together for the students’ success. PACE does not discriminate based on race, color, religious creed, ancestry, gender, disability, age, or national origin.

 Applications for the Fall of 2025

Applications for the fall of 2025-26 must be filled out online for each student applying. Upon registration, you must present a birth certificate, immunization record, picture identification, health appraisal, and vision screening for all Kindergarten students (due before the 1st day of school) and last report card and behavior report (for all students in grades 1-8). If your child receives special services, we must have a copy of his/her IEP.

NOTE: Kindergarten students must be 5 years of age on or before September 1st.  A kindergarten student with a birthday after September 1st but on or before December 1st must complete a waiver.

Lottery and Acceptance

Acceptance to the Dr. Joseph F. Pollack Academic Center of Excellence (PACE) is based on the number of available seats. If there are more applications than seats, a lottery will be conducted. You will receive a letter of acceptance or an invitation to participate in an electronic lottery (should one become necessary).

Orientation and Administrator’s Meeting

All registering parents/guardians and students must meet with a school administrator before admittance.  An appointment will be scheduled for you and your student. This process is required.

Orientation will occur a few weeks before the beginning of the school year. You will receive a notification in the mail concerning orientation.
